Expect all sorts of stuff to turn up here.
The return of Willie and Cletus.
Willie giving some misleading directions to a couple of lost campers. ” Yeah yeah, the campground is just a few k’s up the road “.
Willie and Cletus caught poaching on a farm in Ikamatua.

It seems this site has a problem displaying Youtube vids when using Internet Explorer. They show up and work ok when tested with Google Chrome and Safari on my ipad.July 2, 2017 at 11:10 pm #4551
Haha – no Microsoft has a problem with Internet Explorer showing videos from its competitor Google…July 4, 2017 at 9:58 pm #4552

Another BOP modellers day today. A recent challenge was to create a couple (or more) willow trees for a riverbank on the Trackgang Layout. I’ll upload some pics this week, but here is the link to a website I found with a tree producing method. A bit longwinded a process, but with practice it can give great results. Scroll to top of page.

Bit late but.
Pic 1 is a tree armature with one coat of thinned no more nails. Wire twists still showing.
Pic 2 armature after 2 coats, painting and drybrushing.
Pic 3 as above but has had lengths of twine added. At this stage I lost the will to live and gave up.
Can’t figure how to upload pics from Flickr properly.January 2, 2018 at 9:39 pm #4702

Excellent find!February 11, 2018 at 4:43 pm #4733
I’ve been watching some NZ printed items on Trademe recently. After an enquiry regarding some items the trader listed an auction for 50 NZ120 pallets – $4.99 + $3 courier.
The material these are printed in is PLA. I will post some pics of these when they arrive.
There’s already been an enquiry re. more items in NZ120.
If the link above doesn’t work for Internet Explorer usesrs then go to Trademe/Community/Member Profiles and search for 3drails.February 25, 2018 at 9:24 pm #4734February 25, 2018 at 9:36 pm #4739
Finally got a pic to show up ! The back 2 pallets are printed in PLA from the Trademe supplier, the front one is from Shapeways. I would recommend the ones from Trademe, not as crisp as Shapeways prints but good enough for these items. The only problem is that one side of the pallet where the forklift forks go hasn’t printed properly – there is a print webbing there, but these are fine for what I want them for.
The seller on Trademe seems keen to rescale and print whatever items you want.
